After overhearing the conversations, things suddenly move very fast. While standing outide Bora's bar, meeting with Verbus Dasha Protaus, the hoeroes are confronted with a rash TLA Death Squad. Driving a souped up buggy, these fanatic youths open fire on a local anti-TLF demonstration. Stark is shot in the neck at this point but while Acatac sees to his injuries the TLF launch their full scale attack on the spaceport, leaving the heroes with scant time to form a plan.
when they decide to join the rebellion the tide shifts quickly to TLF favour. A vicious fight ensues between the Darrans an the rebels, powered by the heroes' abilities..
A few loader Mechs prove to be dangerous opponents but in the end they are beaten thanks to the heroes expertise and technological advantage.
Finally the crew finds their RIF generator and escape the carnage just as Imperial troops do a gas-bombing run in the site.
On their retreat they encounter a TLF scout who is badly wounded and decide to pick her up. not long after that they spot tell-tale signs that Imperial Marines are making planetfall.

FotoSewer entrance
The intrepid adventurers, after careful consideration, make their way towards the sewer entrance. Nick Stark tries to hack into the city security grid but fails and decides to join his companions.  Khasra Fireclaw decides to stay behind and guard the ship.
They cross a toxic wasteland and upon entering the sewers immediately take out a security turret with ease.
Stark did manage to datasteal a map of the complex which they follow towards the surface

FotoThe Baneling
After navigating the intricate sewer system for some time, the heroes travel trough an electronic dead zone. Scanners and communication systems are jammed by an unknown source and a foul stench assails them even trough their air filtration systems.
A couple of corpses float around in the toxic sewer sludge but these are too eroded to properly analyse.
However, their cause of death soon becomes apparent as the group gets ambushed by a lone predatory creature.
Despite its massive bulk, psionic powers and deadly combat tactics, the thing is no match for the combined firepower of the group. Owens Sniper Rifle and Rancors Heavy Railgun take the creature out without it having a chance to cause the group serious problems.

FotoTayah Security Drones
As the explorers venture deeper and near the upper levels towards the exit, they fail to notice some security measures which trigger a silent alarm and activates a group of security drones.
At first the heroes are dismayed by the heavy armour on these drones after a grenade seems to have no effect whatsoever and even a sprayed burst by Rancor only manages to disable one out of the six drones.
Yet a redoubled effort soon sees the drones to scrap metal. At the end of the confrontation, several of the adventurers have suffered wounds.
Finally the heroes emerge from the sewers only to be captured by the alerted Darran Security forces.

FotoVerbus Dasha Protaus
The adventurers try to talk their way out of their situation but the guards are on edge and not convinced, they escort the group toward a "waiting area". Stark and Rankor give the security detail too much lip and are locked up. However, by sheer luck the group gets picked up by a Darran Church official who is in need of mercenary bodyguards. This woman is Verbus Dasha Protaus who is in the city on official business. She's a Verbus (missionary) of the Darranian faith, Protaus has lived just outside of Tae for eight years, bringing medical and religious aid to the scattered rural settlements in the area. Her tactful speaking style and unimposing good looks have brought her the respect and trust of the community, CityGuards included, and she is capable of getting away with more than the average citizen because of this.
Not wishing to provoke an attack by either side in the current conflict she has decided to hire some "Dactra" (foreigners) to accompany her instead of her usual security detail.
Finally released, the explorers are given MercBands, that give them the legal right to bear arms and are told to wait for her at Bora's Bar.

FotoBora's Bar
A partially enclosed cafe and nightclub, Bora's is the most popular bar in the Porttown area, and a favourite hangout of Darranian well-to-do's who wish to impress extra-Provincial guests. The atmosphere is lax and cosmopolitan (for Tayah), with Darranian Church officials, common labourers and more than a few Dactra milling about and enjoying the show.
Service is provided by Tsorosian waiters. The drinks are not unreasonably priced, and the entertainment is excellent.
The heroes immediately start their search for a replacement part for their Relative Inertial Field Generator which leads them to find a Xxcha trader by the name of Tovi Dauschen. As luck would have it, Tovi is a regular of Bora's bar. And the group immediately manages to make an agreeable trade. However, before the transaction is completed it is interrupted.

Underminister Driscol-Smith
A sudden stillness falls over the bar as Neologus Ellagaer strides in, accompanied by his lofty companions, and walks directly toward Dauschen's table. Dauschen, seeing the trio approaching, quickly breaks off negotiations and asks the adventurers to leave him for a while.
They manage to listen in on the ensuing conversation: a certain Marshall B'toma has located Havenband, and Ellagaer has decided to send some of Dauschen's mercs into GeoSector 45 to clear the rebels out.
Next, the proceedings are interrupted again.
Underminister Driscoi-Smith enters the bar, spots the Neologus' party at Dauschen's table, and approaches He addresses the Neologus by his first name, and the two began speaking in hushed tones.
Again the heroes manage to listen in and hear the underminister deliver his warning to Ellagaer; "The requisition has been okayed, and the Imps are already on their way- should be here in a few days. I suggest that you do any necessary house-cleaning fast, because once the Marines cool things down the next step will be to bring an IID investigative committee in here- and you know how they are. Just thought you'd want to know ... "
The Underminister winks knowingly at the Neologus, and takes his leave of the group.
The heroes notice that several of the locals (mostly Tsorosians) are beginning to clear out- it seems that they are not the only ones who overheard the Underminister's message.
They also see the Tsorosian singer wrap her set up, thank the quickly dwindling crowd, and leaves via the back exit shooting a glance toward Dauschen's table as she goes.

On their return to Hyperion, the heroes undergo some training, spend time on research and building projects and improve their skills. courtesy of the LOM.

The crew is then invited by their employer and benefactor Emerich Rach of the League of Merchants. He has a new job for them, a short while ago he received an CommTorp containing requisition for extraction for one of his teams and delivery of medical and survival supplies. When pressed for further info Emerich has little to offer.

The Coördinates lead to Tayah, a moon orbiting the planet Croix. The system is owned by House Darran, a religious house that is part of the Empire of Sol. The Darran church is a spin-off religion of the Dia Khorva (see planets for more info). The Tsorosians are the indigenous sentient lifeform and have been oppressed by the Darrans for aeons.  However, by the time our heroes arrive the Tsorosians have started to revolt.

Despite the advice by Emerich Rach to avoid officials, the Isolde is picked up on long range sensors when entering the system. The crew decides to board the Darran space station under false pretences. Nick Stark provides a sleeper virus that will erase all traces of their visit upon departure.

The crew of the station is thorough and on edge but despite this the heroes manage to plant Starks virus and make their escape. As part of the escape plan, a series of hyperjumps designed to throw off any pursuers goes amiss. The last jump, too near the gravity well of Tayah disrupts and damages the ships Relative Inertial Field generator (RIF). This mishap forces our heroes to land on the moon.

FotoToratoma, Strike Leader of the Havenband TLF
With the RIF out of commission, the heroes decide to continue on land, using Owen's combat vehicle. As they approach the coördinates, Rankor spots lifeforms on his tactical scanner. About 30 to 50 individuals have surrounded their transport. Some of these wield sniper rifles and anti-tank weaponry. A lone figure emerges from the jungle and orders the heroes to surrender their weapons.
The adventurers see no alternative but to give up, however, Nick Stark manages to activate his stealth suit and avoids capture. He rejoins Acatac on the ship and starts plans to aid his friends.
Meanwhile the figure has introduced himself as Toratoma of the Havenband. A cell of the Tayan Liberation Front. Toratoma takes them into the camp. He then calls for a few of the refugees in his native tongue. The bedraggled Tsorosians who approach bear peculiar objects of all sorts, which Toratoma explains one by one: statues of deceased family members or friends, starving babies, woodpaintings of bombed and ruined ekreets and factories, broken pieces of favorite possessions, etc.
Finally, Toratoma shows them his own item: a large, beaten and scratched wall poster showing the Royal Darranian Palace in all its splendour, complete with colourful costumes and glimmering Grav Cars, and bearing a typeset quotation originally penned by Viscount Yulran:
" ... All this being, vast and best, Needing naught-a scene divine - The program writ in every breast In sight except inside of mine ... "
He then accuses the heroes (as representatives of their employers) of crimes against Sentience of advocating the Church's practices by engaging in trade with them, and of being "every bit as heartless and mercenary as the overlords who raped this, our world."
Toratoma goes on to explain that the PCs missing comrades never existed, they were invented to bring the PCs here in order to make this statement and to extract money and material support for their release.

FotoGeoSector45 wilderness
Meanwhile Acatac and Stark devise a plan, Stark hacks into the sattelite, which he uses to pick up his captive fellows. Then he contacts the TLF fighters pretending to be Emerich Rach. Stark and Toratoma come to an agreement; if the Havenbanders get technology blueprints and they can enlist the aid of their captives in attacking the local starport. The crew is free to return to their ship.
After some deliberation, all concerned agree.

The captive heroes then encounter Old Rock, who is the true leader of the Havenband TLF faction. A venerable Tsorosian and master of "The Ancient Ways", Old Rock (this is a powerful title and honorific amongst the Tsorosians) is the eldest individual at Havenband. He is small, pale, almost completely hairless, and totally blind- none of which diminishes his status in the eyes of the camp whatsoever- and stays in a nearby hollow which Toratoma dug for him. Old Rock claims to have received the ancient teachings from his father, who remembered the days when Tayah Port possessed only one landing pad (this would have been about lmp.260).
Later, his family and friends moved to the undeveloped forests of what would later be known as GeoSector 45. Here, the group lived out their days, with Old Rock eventually taking his father's place as the local tradition-teller, until most of them were killed by a poorly-placed artillery strike three years ago. Old Rock is often very tired and he can't speak loudly, or for long. He usually relates his advices, teachings and tales of the past to Toratoma, who passes them on to the rest of the group.
He tries to make amends for the way the heroes were recieved and voices his wish that they embrace TLF ideals instead of being forced to fight along them. He is only marginally successfull.

FotoTLF Halftrack
The next day, all able fighters of Havenband assemble, the heroes are set free and a number of Halftrack vehicles appear.
These load up the resistance fighters and split up on their way to the Spaceport.
The heroes travel with Toratoma and his elite fighters and along the way they encounter the first hostile indigenous lifeforms. Large and very fast tick-like creatures known as Pod Leapers attack and take out two TLF fighters before they are beaten.
Again the crew notices that the some of the TLF are carrying advanced weaponry made by the Yssaril Tribes.
Shortly hereafter the group arrives within viewing distance of the Tayah Spaceport gates. After a heated discussion the heroes are allowed to seek their own way in the 'port with two crack shot TLF fighters in tow .

FotoLetnev Transport Gunship
After their success on Moonbase Alpha, the crew sets course to their planet of opportunity: Hyperion IX.
En route they pick up a distress signal from a Letnev transport under attack. The crew decides to intervene and come upon a battle scene where the Letnev ship is being boarded by ships from the Naalu Collective. A brief but heavy firefight ensues but the crew is victorious. They rescue Rankor, an old companion. Raleeshan, a Hacan diplomat and Khasra Fireclaw, a weapons engineer.
Kashra and Ackatac get along well and after dropping off the Hacan on the Letnev Military planet of Vefut II they decide to keep Kashra for the fee of 50 creds a day. On Vefut, the crew also recieves a message from Emerich Rach who wishes to employ their services once more. On their way to Emerich's mansion they come under attack from bounty hunters. They want to cash in on a new bounty issued by the Naalu Collective on the head of Owen Skidder. After a short but deadly firefight, the bounty hunters are defeated.

FotoEmerich Rach
The robot turns out to be a message from a League Of Merchants Capo named Emerich Rach. He has a job proposal for them. The crew are invited to his rich & elaborate estate where he elaborates on his job proposal.
House Colos, one of the major houses of the Empire of Sol owns a Tachyon Beam Dictor relay station on the outskirts of its domain. Emerich wants the heroes to replace the crew of the station with Eve, an android. The pay is good but Cap. Honel has his reservations about killing/disposing the original crew of the station. The Crew are given some time to decide and after additional bargaining the deal is struck with on top of the pay, a state of the art EW generator payload for the ship.
The crew are also given a number of handy items to help them in the mission such as explosives, personal EW field emitters, breather masks and two types of gas to be used in the ventilation system.
Ackatac takes the travel time to Colos space to chemically engineer the gas so it will not kill the techs in the base and reduce the effect time.

FotoAndroid Eve
Thanks to the expert Mentak piloting skills of Owen the Isolde lands undetected on the planet Col72Prime. The crew proceeds covertly towards Moonbase Alpha. When they find a MagRail transport that will take them to the centre of the base Nick Stark starts to hack into the system trying to disable the security and reverse the flow of the air so that the engineered chemical will take full effect of the few technical operators inside the base.
Meanwhile the MagRail transport grinds to a halt, displaying a proximity alert which is caused by an old security battlebot.
A fierce and short fire-fight ensues where the heroes easily overwhelm the lone securibot.
Nick digs deep into the Colos Mainframe and discovers some hidden files protected by some heavy ICE. He breaks trough and copies the sensitive data figuring they will fetch a good price once a buyer can be found.
The heroes install the android and place the original techcrew in cryoberths.
The mission is an astounding success.

The heroes come together after quite some time. A good discussion overs cigars and Synthehol reveals all of them are connected to each other trough various events in the past.

Nick Stark, also known as The Datadealer stole the blueprints from the Jol Nar detailing their Spatial Conduit Network.  However, the Hylar manage to trace him, forcing him to become a wanted refugee. Stark managed to secure passage on a small ship, piloted by Owen, the Mentak cyborg gunslinger and guarded by the Letnev Mercenary Rankor. Some time later, Owen was captured an tortured but never gave any information on his client.
Stark already knew Captain Honel, as he used him in the past to prepare data heists

Foto
Ackatac T'Yloch, the rogue Hylar scientist was on the same flight, escaping his home planet after transferring his fathers brain into a botched experiment. Captain Honel and Ackatac's fellow refugee Nick Stark became good friends.

Cap Honel and Owen Skidder already had a long working relationship and when Owen was shot, the captain ordered a cyber-bio lab installed in his ship so that the refugee Ackatac could help save him.
Later, when Rankor was stuck behind enemy lines on Isstvan V, Owen Skidder war hired by Rankor's family to extract him. Ackatack joined the mission, more to see Owen's rebuilt body in action then to help the Letnev warrior.

The crew decides to journey to Hyperion IX, seeing as this is a planet low on the radar of the Law and Vegapol and an excellent place to find some work. The crew lands and indulges in some entertainment. Yet after a while they see someone is taking pictures of them. The apprehension of this guy fails and they set up an ambush.
A large, orb-like robot follows them into an alley and the ambush is sprung...
